Out and About ......

Wherever you visit in Cornwall, you are never far from the coast - however, inland or coastal, you can be sure of an amazing experience when you visit the magical land we call Cornwall. The hardest decision you will have, is how you will fit in everything you want to see and do!

To give you some inspiration, here are some of our favourite places to visit...........

Fowey:
15 minutes from site and you will find the beautiful port town, with winding roads to explore and take you on an adventure. Full of quaint independent shops, bars and restaurants. Fowey is synonymous with Daphne Du Maurier, who is celebrated in the town with the 2018 sculpture 'The Rook with the book', which is now located on Town Quay, thanks to the generosity of the Thrussell sculptors. A passenger ferry can be caught to take you over to Polruan, which is directly across the water from Fowey. If you fancy something adventurous, there are kayaks to hire in Fowey or Golant, which is close by; kayaks are the perfect way to explore the meandering rivers and creeks, and you can stop of in the very pretty Lerryn for refreshments from the cafe.
Polkerris:
Polkerris is a pretty village a 5 minute drive from site, or a lovely walk along Par beach and along the coastal path. This pretty cove is an absolute must to visit, with gentle sloping sand, seas protected from the harbour walls and delicious ice-creams, or enjoy a meal in the Rashleigh Inn - the most delightful pub on the beach, perfect for watching the world go by or watching the sun go down.
